Individualized Educational Instruction
Is your child a visual (sight), kinesthetic (movement), tactile (touch) or auditory (listening) learner or a mixture of these? Lessons are adapted to cater to your child specifically in order to provide the optimal academic enrichment experience.
Developmental Assessments
The Connecticut Office of Early Childhood Education has created the Documentation and Observation for Teaching Systems, also known as the CT DOTS. As toddler and preschool aged children grow there are 27 progressions in the CT DOTS for educators to use to assess a child’s development. Following observations over time, informed assessments are made using the CT DOTS, to determine whether a child is emerging or consistent in a given progression. As well as if they are ahead or behind based on their age and stage of development.
Evaluation/Progress Report Conferences
Following developmental assessments, evaluations will be written based on observations and anecdotal records (such as photos and samples of child work) from their instructional sessions. The progress report will outline areas of strength and areas we are still working on. As well as feedback for best practices to promote continued academic growth and achievement.
